As the owner and project manager of Grand Shack, Eric Carter enjoys the challenge of creating eye-catching, highly personalized spaces to meet the lifestyle demands and budget constraints of every client. With over 10 years of design and building experience to his credit, Eric has carved out a rewarding niche in residential remodeling. Originally from Saint Paul, Minnesota, Eric's career began in health and fitness as a successful personal trainer and club manager in Dallas, Texas. Eventually, Eric decided to follow his dreams of buying and renovating outdated properties and estates for resale. Armed with business experience and construction knowledge, Eric took a hands-on approach to turning unattractive, functionally-challenged houses into stunning, well-planned homes that became exciting places to live. During this time, friends, neighbors and prospective home buyers were able to see Eric's finished work and his meticulous attention to detail. Soon after, Grand Shack was born and Eric's list of would-be clients expanded from Minneapolis to Phoenix and finally to Denver, where Grand Shack is based and where Eric and his family call home.

Being an avid cook, Eric knows first-hand that the kitchen is truly the heart of every home, whether you're cooking or entertaining. In fact, Eric's first gourmet kitchen design received a positive review from a renowned, celebrity chef and TV personality. And one of his first client projects was featured in a distinguished, luxury home magazine.
